St. Augustine’s Specialist Medical Wing
Scope of Work
Design and construction of a new 50-bed specialist wing focusing on maternal health and surgical services. This Institutional Building project required strict adherence to healthcare protocols, including the installation of Specialized Laboratories and advanced HVAC systems for infection control. We managed the full FF&E (Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment) phase, including the commissioning of medical gas systems and surgical lighting.
Key Challenges & Solutions
- Challenge: Integrating new medical gas and electrical lines into an older, operational hospital wing without disrupting patient care.
- Solution: We utilized "Phased Construction" and performed high-noise tasks during pre-approved windows, using temporary sound-dampening partitions to isolate the work zone.
Technologies/Methodologies Used
- HEPA Filtration Systems: For sterile surgical environments.
- Antimicrobial Wall Cladding: High-durability, easy-to-sanitize surfaces throughout the clinical corridors.
"The team understood that this wasn't just a building—it’s a life-saving environment. Their attention to technical medical standards was flawless."
